Courtney Kuza is the Program Manager for the Center for Pharmaceutical Policy and Prescribing.  She received her MPH and PhD in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health.  Before joining CP3, Courtney managed and conducted health services research in the University of Pittsburgh Department of Critical Care Medicine, using qualitative methodology to examine best practices in the structure and organization of intensive care units.  Courtney also has extensive experience as a mixed methods community mental health services researcher in the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work.  Her work with local and state organizations has evaluated and shaped mental health policy and practice, including state mental hospital closures, service coordination delivery, and therapeutic interventions for mothers with mental health needs.  Her research interests include maternal and child health, workforce development, and behavioral health.  She is also a member of the Pitt Artificial Intelligence Scholar-Teacher Alliance (PASTA)

When she's not working, Courtney can be found tending to her four cats, volunteering with her daughter's Girl Scout troop, exploring new places with her family, and reading as many books as possible. She's a board member and manages social media and communication for the non-profit West View HUB. Courtney is also a member of an international online trivia league, Learned League.
