We are proud to announce that CP3 faculty affiliate Dr. Bryant Shuey, MD, MPH has been selected as a 2025–26 State Health Policy Fellow by the National Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Shuey serves as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and has established expertise in substance use, chronic disease, and health policy evaluation, particularly around policies affecting access to opioid use disorder treatment. His selection reflects both his strong academic credentials and his deep commitment to applying research to real-world policy challenges.
As a NAM State Health Policy Fellow, Dr. Shuey will spend a year working within state government offices to lend his expertise to policy design and implementation, while gaining first-hand experience in the policymaking process.
