The study, OFF-RAMP Feasibility, will examine how patients can safely transition off GLP-1 based therapies after reaching their weight loss goals. Although these medications are widely used for obesity treatment, more than half of patients discontinue within a year, and research shows that stopping abruptly can lead to rapid weight regain. This pilot trial will test three different strategies for maintaining weight loss during that transition, laying the groundwork for a larger multisite trial.
This work addresses a pressing clinical question as incretin based therapies continue to reshape obesity care.
